Brewing Tutorials – Training

As an experienced Tutor, Tom has lectured at BlewLab, Sunderland and is currently one of the tutors at Brew-School in Bakewell. His approach is fairly unorthodox as he believes all students in craft beer should be allowed to express their own take on flavour, style and everybody should be at ease with their own palate.

Typical areas in a taught programme are as follows:

Raw Materials (water, malt, hops, yeast and additives)

Process (Mashing, Boiling, Fermentation and conditioning

Quality Control/ Tasting

Hazard assessment

Packaging

Dispensing
